MEDICAL OFFICERS

 

Requirements:

 

Medical Officer - Grade Level 12

i.                   Medical Degree: MBBS, MD, or MB,ChB from a recognized Medical College.

ii.                NYSC Discharge Certificate/ Exemption Certificate

iii.             Certificate of Full Registration by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria(MDCN).  

iv.              Annual Practicing License by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).

v.                 Birth certificate or Age declaration.

 

  1. NURSING CADRE

1. Senior Nursing Officer - Grade Level: 10

Requirements:

i.                   Bachelor of Nursing Science (BNSc), Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Midwife (RM).

ii.                Current and valid practicing license issued by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).

iii.             NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.

 

Additional Advantage: Registered Public Health Nurse (RPHN).

 

2. Staff Nurse-Midwife- Grade Level: 08

 

Requirements:

i.                   Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Midwife (RM) certificates.

ii.                Current and valid practicing license issued by NMCN.

 

 

3. Staff Midwife - Grade Level: 07

 

Requirements:

i.                   Registered Midwife (RM) certificate.

ii.                Current and valid practicing license issued by NMCN.

 

 

4. Staff Nurse - Grade Level: 07

 

Requirements:

i.                   Registered Nurse (RN) certificate.

ii.                Current and valid practicing license issued by NMCN.

 

PHARMACISTS

Entry Qualifications Requirements:

i.       A Bachelor of Pharmacy degree (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (Pharm.D) from a recognized University

ii.     Must have a valid license to practice and registration with the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria

iii.  NYSC discharge or exemption certificate

 

PHARMACY TECHNICIAN

Entry Qualifications Requirements:

i.       3 Years Pharmacy Technician Diploma Certificate from recognized College/School of Health Technology accredited by Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN)

ii.     Registered with the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria

iii.  Current Permit to Practice issued by Pharmacy Council of Nigeria

 

MEDICAL LABORATORY SERVICES

ENTRY REQUIREMENT FOR MEDICAL LABORATORY SCIENTIST GL 10

Requirements:

i.       Candidate must possess Degree in Medical Laboratory services as BMLS or AIMLT registered by Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).

ii.      Registration with the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (Current Practicing License)

iii.    National Youth Service Corp

 

 

ENTRY REQUIREMENT FOR MEDICAL LABORATORY TECHNICIAN GL 07

Requirements:

Candidate who has completed the prescribed 3 years training programme at accredited Colleges of Health Technology must possess:

i.        Medical Laboratory Technician Certificate

ii.      Registration with the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN)with practicing license (Current Practicing License)

 

HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT CADRE

1.     Health Information Management Officer - Grade Level 08

 

Requirements:

i.                Candidate must possess a Bachelor degree in Health Information Management from a recognized institution with a proof of completing NYSC or an exemption certificate.

ii.             Candidate must register with Health Records Officers Registration Board of Nigeria (HROBN) with a current practicing license.

iii.           With addition of minimum of five credits 'O'level certificate WASC/SSCE which must include English, Mathematics, Science subjects and Primary school leaving certificate.

 

 

2.   Health Information Management Technician – Grade Level 07

Requirements:

i.                   Candidate must possess a National Diploma/Professional Diploma in Health Information Management from a recognized institution.

ii.                Candidate must register with Health Records Officers Registration Board of Nigeria (HROBN) with a current practicing license.

iii.           With addition of minimum of five credits 'O'level certificate WASC/SSCE which must include English, Mathematics Science subjects and Primary school leaving certificate.

 

HEALTH EDUCATION CADRE

Health Education Officer (HEO) - Grade Level 08

Requirements:

i.                   A Bachelor’s Degree in Health Education from a recognized institution.

ii.                Completion of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) or exemption.

iii.             Basic knowledge of communication, community mobilization, and health promotion strategies.

iv.              Computer literacy (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel) is an advantage.


ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH SERVICES DIRECTORATE

1. ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH OFFICER (EHO)

Entry Qualification & Grade Level: 08

          i.                     Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health Science (B.Sc. EHS) from a recognized university.

       ii.                     Compulsory registration and licensing with the Environmental Health Council of Nigeria (EHCON).

    iii.                     NYSC discharge/exemption certificate.

 

2. ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH TECHNOLOGIST

Entry Qualification & Grade Level: 08

       i.                        Higher National Diploma (HND) in Environmental Health Technology from an accredited institution.

    ii.                        Registration and licensing with EHCON.

 iii.                        Completion of National Youth Service (NYSC) where applicable.

 

 

3. ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH TECHNICIAN

Entry Qualification & Grade Level: 07

    i.      Diploma/OND in Environmental Health Technician from a recognized College of Health Technology.

 ii.      Registration with EHCON.

COMMUNITY HEALTH SERVICE

 

1. Community Health Officer (CHO) - Grade Level 08

Requirements:

I.                  BSc in Community Health Science.

II.               NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate.

III.           A minimum of five O'level credits in WAEC, including English Language and Mathematics.

IV.            Certificate of Registration with the Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria (CHPRBN).

V.               Current Practicing License from the CHPRBN.

Note: A Higher Diploma (HD) in a Community Health professional certificate is an added advantage.

 

 

2. Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW) - Grade Level 07

Requirements:

i.                   National Diploma (ND) in Community Health.

ii.                A minimum of five O'level credits in WAEC, including English Language and Mathematics.

iii.             Certificate of Registration with the Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria (CHPRBN).

iv.              Current Practicing License from the CHPRBN.
